[Cape Town, 31 January 2017] - It's been a long break from combat sports here in Cape Town but thankfully, that break is now over. In 2016 many fans wanted more fight night events, and fighters wanted more opportunities to show case their skills. This call was answered by one of Cape Town's biggest names in the fighting industry (Rowan Katzew), when he decided to host one of his very own events, FIGHT FACTORY.

About Rowan Katzew:
I have deep roots in Martial Arts and have been involved in combat sports for over two decades. I own Top Primate Academy, one of Cape Town's best MMA academy's.

Fight Factory started when we were talking in the Top Primate gym one day after training. We were all sick and tired of the lack of fight nights in Cape Town and the fact that one of the fight nights we had attended for years had become so unprofessional that we refused to attend any further events. So we simply decided to do it ourselves.

We have made a point of mixing styles of combat, ensuring a night of action packed fights from start to finish. Fans can see Cape Town's best amateur MMA and Muay Thai fighters, some talented up & coming boxers and four of the best pro fighters in the country all compete in the first edition of Fight Factory.

The Main Event:
Rafel Wozniak is one of the top fighters out of the Thaiholics camp, under Nic Radley. He is a veteran in amateur K1 and this will be his first professional Muay Thai fight. He takes on Endi Pegado who is also vastly experienced both in Cape Town and Angola, where he hails from. He has fought twice as a pro in Thailand and is very excited to meet Rafel in the ring. The two are friendly outside of the ring but are both serious and looking to get the KO win.

Co Main event:
This bout sees the veteran from Johannesburg Mawande Vapi who is 25 and 5, take on the undefeated champion from the DRC, Alexandre Diadora Kabangu, who has never lost in 25 fights. This promises to be one of the best fights of the year!

Make sure to attend this event as this will surely be one for the books. You can book your tickets here.

Fight Factory is taking place this Friday 3rd February, at 15 Caledon Street, East City, Cape Town.
