ALPHA GRAPPLING LEAGUE 7

Image
[Cape Town, South Africa] The 7th installment of the popular Grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) event, Alpha Grappling League, is underway and taking place on 24th June 2017 in Stellenbosch at the Van Der Stel Sports Club. Grappling and BJJ has formed a very big part in the fast growing sport of Mixed Martial Arts and sees BJJ classes filling up by the day.
Back in 2015, MMA Fundi founder Justin Smith had a chat with Shaughn Vos, (the brains behind the tournament, along with his mentor Rico Hattingh). The discussion was mostly about the motivation behind the tournament, the benefits of Grappling and BJJ, and the future and vision for the league.

Click here to have a look back at that interview between Justin and Shaughn.

Even today, 2 years down the road, Alpha Grappling League is still offering a high quality event with high quality competitors. The likes of EFC Fighters, Regis Muyambo, Luke Michael and Armand Scheepers (who won Alpha 3), have all competed at past events.

APFC AND SIV NGESI PRODUCTIONS HOST CHARITY BOXING EVENT: FIGHT FOR CHANGE

Image
[Cape Town, South Africa] MMA Fundi has a great love all all combat sport. Even more so if the promotion is geared towards a charitable cause. This is exactly what Mike Mouneimne of APFC and Siv Ngesi from Siv Ngesi Productions had in mind. What's even more spectacular is the fact the Mouneimne is stepping into the ring himself to show just how dedicated he is towards the cause.

However, they cannot do this alone. They need your your help in making this event a success. Also, raising R100 000.00. Thus far event organisation has only been able to rack up R3645.12 through donations. On that note, the MMA Fundi team has come together to pledge R1000 towards to the cause and has put out the challenge to other organisations in the combat sport community to meet or better their donation.

Find out how you can donate below.
