OUMPIE SEBEKO: LET'S SEE IF HE CAN SWIM WITH THE BIG SHARKS

"Let's see if he can swim with the big sharks" Sebeko said in an interview with MMA Fundi.

[Cape Town, South Africa] It's no secret that the Mother City's, Faeez Jacobs, is certainly one of the rising stars on the MMA circuit. After making his pro debut only seven months ago, Jacobs has managed to stun the crowd with his TKO victories and steal their hearts with his charisma. Even after loosing his last fight to Nerick Simoes, Jacobs still received great respect from the fans and fighters alike because of the heart shown during the bout.

"I took this fight because I wanted to end this year with a KO before heading off into the holiday season" Jacobs said about his upcoming fight against Sebeko.

Oumpie Sebeko on the other hand, is no stranger to the hex. He's been part of the EFC since 2014 and has faced off against some of the biggest names in the bantamweight division. One of his most notable fights was against the interim bantamweight champion, Irshaad Sayed, at EFC 39 where Sebeko lost via unanimous decision. Sebeko is also currently coming off a two fight loosing streak and is hungry to redeem himself in his upcoming bout against Jacobs.

"When fight night comes make sure you bring the fire works" Sebeko's words to Jacobs ahead of the fight.

Both fighters were looking to be on the EFC 65 card and match maker Graeme Cartmell, thought this would be a great match up.With both fighters being predominately strikers, we can expect nothing less than grand!

"I asked for a fight. They said Oumpie. I said let's go!" Jacobs always ready and eager regardless of the opponent.

This is definitely a fight I am looking forward to and even though this fight is on the under card, it has all the making of Fight of Night in my opinion.

EFC 65 is taking place live at Carnival City, Johannesburg. You can also catch the main of Kwesesports.com  or live on SABC 3 at 21:00 on Saturday, 4 November.
